In response to survey results, Rotary International has been working to improve the learning experience for club leaders. First, the September mailing of club officer manuals to district governors-elect will move to July this year. The manual Lead Your Club: President will be the only club resource mailed. Other resources will be emailed or appear online.
Second, club officers responded in surveys that they’re not always aware of the resources available as they take office (see graphic below), and that they would prefer taking an online course to help begin their year.
Publication | Percentage Using the Manual |
---|---|
Lead Your Club: President | 73% |
Lead Your Club: Secretary | 45% |
Lead Your Club: Committee | 43% |
Lead Your District: Committee | 36% |
Lead Your Club: Treasurer | 35% |
To assist club officers, online courses for each role will debut in the Learning Center in July. The courses will include specific manuals and additional resources for their role. We hope these courses will provide support whenever your club officers want it.
Also, this change will improve club officers’ access to key information. An online course allows us to post the latest information as it becomes available.
Please update your training calendars to reflect the earlier mailing date for club resources, and look for the new club officer courses.
