On Sunday September 10th 2017, the air around Port of Spain was filled with pleasant aromas and melodic sounds emanating from the National Academy for the Performing Arts where the Rotary Club of Port of Spain (RCPOS) and Trinidad and Tobago Restaurant Week (TTRW) held the first annual TTRW Showcase.
Nearly five hundred (500) patrons enjoyed well-crafted tasting plates and samples from over thirty (30) of Trinidad’s leading restaurants and upcoming chefs, along with signature cocktail drinks and wines, while serenaded by the music of the Dean Williams Jazz Quartet. A wide assortment of premium desserts left many wishing they had done an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill so that they could have indulged in more.
RCPOS also congratulates Ms. Melissa Lynch-Waithe for winning two round-trip tickets to any Caribbean Airlines destination, as well as, the many others who walked away with prizes from G4S Security Solutions, Nestle and Yella.
Thanks to the support of TTRW and the many event sponsors and patrons, the event was a great success and raised significant funds needed towards the many service projects of RCPOS. The Club also recognizes and thanks the entire event committee, led by Rotarian Daniel Fakoory, for spearheading this unique event and setting a firm foundation for years to come - here's to an even grander 2018 Showcase!
